Video Extracted from Cats Brain

Chris over at Mindpixel
picked up a story about researchers that record the electrical pulses from 177 cells in a cat’s brain and then are able to reconstruct the video images that the cat is watching. Sounds impossible, but it seems to work. It seems to work especially well for High contrast images.

The implications of this are astronomical. While it isn’t by any means a perfect science yet, the brain as a DVR is a trippy thought. Recording spy dogs, and the applications for gerbils… πŸ˜‰

Take a look at the images over at Mindpixel.
